Ratan Tata’s official biography to be published this year

One of the most admired Indians, an industrialist who is respected as much for his business acumen as his personal integrity, Ratan Tata will soon have his official biography published by HarperCollins. The biography will be written by former Indian Administration Services (IAS) officer Thomas Mathew and will be available by November this year. While we can't wait for it to be published, here's a look at five other biographies published by HarperCollins of other equally well known Indians. The biography of Azim Premji, the founder chairman of Wipro and one of India's richest men was published last year. It's called “Azim Premji: The Man Beyond the Billions.”

Also published by them is the story of the men behind one of the worlds largest cement companies, ACC Limited and Ambuja Cement. The story is told by Narotam Sekhsaria himself, who is Chairman of both these companies and is titled "The Ambuja Story How a Group of Ordinary Men Created an Extraordinary Company” “The Disruptor How Viswanath Partap Singh shook India” is the story of the former Indian Prime Minister VP Singh who was in office for just 11 months but who impacted significant changes in that time period. Most music lovers will instantly recognise the name Remo Fernandes. His autobiography called “Remo: The Autobiography of Remo Fernandes” was published by them last year.

The story of the 4 brothers behind one of India’s best known brands “Hero Cycles” was published by HarperCollins too. The brothers are billionaires and jointly started Hero Cycles. By 1975 it had become the largest bicycle company in India and in 1986, Hero Cycles was entered in the Guinness Book as the world's largest bicycle company. The book is aptly called “The Making of Hero: Four Brothers, Two Wheels and a Revolution that Shaped India” These should be pretty inspirational books to start 2022 with, we think. Happy reading!
